Sonia Núñez Puente and María José Gámez Fuentes have published in vol. 17 of Feminist Media Studies, the article entitled “Spanish feminism, popular misogyny and the place of the victim” in which they reflect precisely on the effects of the popular appropriation of this ambivalent discourse between re-victimization and opportunism on the part of the administration and of neo-chauvinist organizations of the HazteOir and Projusticia Association type, as highlighted by their latest media campaigns articulated through social networks.
