Associate Professor of Sociology of Culture at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy) where she teaches Sociology of Media and works on the longitudinal study “ITA.LI – Italian Lives”. She is part of the research group “OTRAS. Perspectiva feminista en la investigación social” at the Universidad de Granada (Spain). She holds a PhD in Sociology and Social Research Methodology, and in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Milano-Bicocca and the Universidad de Granada (2010). Her research focuses on the theories and practices of intersectionality; gender violence; the relationship between gender, migration and citizenship; domestic and care work; the youth condition; and qualitative methodology. She is the author of the books Global Domestic Workers. Intersectional Inequalities and Struggles for Rights (with S. Marchetti, G. Garofalo Geymonat; British University Press, 2021), and Nuove cittadine, nuove cittadinanze? Donne migranti e pratiche partecipative (Meltemi, 2018), and editor of the book Uomini contro le donne? Le radici della violenza maschile (with S. Magaraggia, Utet, 2013).
